Jason Feger outduels Daren Friedman for the win at Farmer City Raceway Friday May 16, 2008

The evening started with Steve Sheppard Jr turning in fast time at 12.452 seconds. Twenty eight late models ran in three heats, with the first heat going to Steve Sheppard Jr in an exciting contest holding off Jason Feger, Kevin Weaver, Jimmy Dehm, and Mike Provenzano. The second heat went to Daren Friedman in another close race over Donny Walden, Wes Steidinger, Scott Bull and Brandon Sheppard. The third heat was also a close race going to Eric Smith over Derek Chandler, Matt Taylor, Kelly Kouski, and Aaron Ricketts. The semi feature went to Dan O'Connor over Chris D1ck, Charlie Hess and Ryan Unzicker. The feature started out with Sheppard and Friedman on the front row, and Friedman taking the initial lead. Jason Feger caught Friedman and through the middle part of the race the two raced side by side, swapping the lead several times. With only one early and one late caution, the sleeper in the race was almost Derek Chandler. Chandler had seen the fun the leaders were having and decided to join them, swapping second and third place with first one, then the other. That made some very exciting racing action for the fans. Eventually, Jason Feger won the race with Daren Friedman and Derek Chandler a very close second and third. Fourth went to Eric Smith, followed by last weeks winner Steve Sheppard Jr.

Feger Wins Third Feature at Kamp

Excitement over the week-end. Jason Feger won his heat at Farmer City Speedway last Friday night by a substaintial margin. Feger jumped to a quick lead in the feature only to have the car jump out of gear. At the time, the car felt like the transmission or drive shaft broke so Jason slowed to a stop, diminishing hopes of a second feature win at Farmer City.

But the night ended AWESOME!! Jason took me for a ride in Hammer's two seater!! OMG!!! Those of you that know me, know I don't have a problem speeding, but that doesn't come close to how fast you feel like you're going around the track. It literally felt like we were going to fly of number one corner!!

I swear I'd hit every car on the track if I had to drive :) The worst was going down low tight around the corners. Up high coming off of four I would have bet money we were going to slam the right rear in the car.

Saturday night Jason ended up second in his heat at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, IN. This placed him inside the second row behind Frank Heckenast Jr. Mike Mataragas, jumped to an early lead. Jr was second with Jason third. Jason was running right behind Jr on the top. Heckenast Jr slowed at one point in the middle of turns three and four. I swear I thought Jason was going to slam him, you wouldn't have thought Jr would have a drivers side left on his car. Luckily, both the drivers must have willed their cars from hitting each other. Jason than worked on reeling in Mike in the 1M Rocket. Feger passed him down low and kept the lead. YEAH!!!!
