GO TEAM FEGER!!!

HATE TRANSPONDERS

A random thought ---
Just for the record if anyone tells me they like transponders, I'd let them know that I think they STINK. At Tri-City, qualifing and heat scoring was jacked up. So was the feature.

The same at Macon.

I think they might help the scorers, but the scorers need to score.

Maybe the transponders cause the race to be scored completely different, who knows.

Paducah and Pevely -- MARS - UMP Challenge

Last week-end the team headed South to Paducah, Kentucky for shows on Thurs and Friday.
If you're from Central Illinois and can ever make the trek to PIR -- do so -- it is an awesome place. Thurs was a rain out, Friday night was the World 50.

Feger crushed the competition in his heat and lead most of the race. Unfortunately a flat knocked Jason out with 8 laps to go. He was put in the rear of the field behind the lapped cars and moved up to sixth. Thanks to the fans who emailed and let me know Jason put on the show :)

Sat night was Pevely. The track was FAST and racey. Jason's heat looked like a who's who in racing. Front inside, Moyer, outside Erb (just a couple 100ths of a second faster than Jason) than Jason, Wallace and Frye, plus a few others. WOW!!! Nearly the caliber of a World 100 heat.

Jason was third in his heat, starting 16th in the feature. The front of the feature was Erb, Moyer, Shirley, Korte and others. Jason did an OUTSTANDING job at Pevely moving up to fourth and fought Shirley for fourth.

The night before at Paducah the race was 50 laps and we only needed 40 to win. At Pevely, it was 40 laps, he needed those other 10 laps. I'm darn near 100% he would have had at least third.

All in all it was a great week-end of racing against great competition.

Jacksonville & Macon

A couple of weeks ago Team Feger stayed near home to participate in a couple of Summernational make-up races.

Jacksonville started off rough, really rough. The poor car choked during qualifing there was something in the fuel line. Jason started dead last in his heat and was caught up in traffic for over four laps. The leaders were quite a bit out in front. Jason had the crowd on their feet during the race hitting the highside to capture third. He rec'd a standing ovation from the fans at Jaxs. In the feature, seemed like he had the car to beat, came flying up through the field. With about 15 to go he was in third. The scorers mistakenly put him in fourth and the track locked down. But -- KUDOS to Wests, the Jacksonville promoters who later watched the video and indicated their scorers made a mistake and was setting it right with Jason. Wes won the feature.

Next night was Macon. Jason ended up third in another exciting race at the Herald and Review. It was Erb and Feger battling for the lead. In lapped traffic Weaver got by Jason, but the next lap the yellow came out. The transponders didn't go back to the lap before, so Weaver was placed in front of Jason. Kevin was bad fast, but hey who knows what would have happened if he was put in third. Congrats to Kevin on the win.
