Feger Pierce Car World 100 Layouts

Here's the new wrap for the World 100. We don't have it in our anxious hands yet, but it should arrive on Wednesday from Texas. John from Showtime Signs, who designs and outputs the wraps for Pierces Kidz Mods helped us out by outputting the design. Austin came up with the idea of moving the dice to the front of the car. The skulls are now on the numbers.

If you make it to the World 100, please stop by and check it out. John told me it looks AWESOME!! If you need a Wrap -- please contact Showtime Signs or visit their website www.showtimesigns.net. Be sure to tell John that Feger told you to give him a call!

Farmer City 50

AWESOME NIGHT of racing. I was running late, had to bring the new World 100 tees to FC.

Got to the track just in time for the late model heats. Jason was started third in his heat, on the outside was a driver several people don't like, but I'm one of those who he just amazed a few times a couple of years ago with how fast and aggressive he tackled the track -- Don Oneal, the real deal. But during this heat, Feger was the show, putting a great move on Donnie O. Mudboss records videos at FC. He's going to send me the video, so I'll add that later.

The feature -- Jason was ON. Took him several laps to get around Shirley. Seemed like Brian had a rear-view mirror in his car and knew exactly how Jason was going to try to pass him, up high, down low, in the middle, I couldn't believe it. At one point Shirley was sideways and I thought for sure Jason was going to cream him and end up taking them both out. Squirrel was hauling too! After a restart Jason went up high and shot by Shirley. Next he started to run down Mr. Smooth Billy Moyer. Jason was able to show Moyer the nose of his car quite a few times, but what can you say -- he's Billy Moyer :) At the line, it was Moyer than Feger. Great race!!!!

Labor Day Week-end

Staying close to home, actually within an hour in every direction.
Friday night -- Farmer City 50 -- $5k to win.
Saturday night -- Fairbury -- $10k PDC.
Sunday night -- Lincoln -- Two $2k features, one is a make up from Monsters of the Midwest.

GO TEAM FEGER!!!

HATE TRANSPONDERS

A random thought ---
Just for the record if anyone tells me they like transponders, I'd let them know that I think they STINK. At Tri-City, qualifing and heat scoring was jacked up. So was the feature.

The same at Macon.

I think they might help the scorers, but the scorers need to score.

Maybe the transponders cause the race to be scored completely different, who knows.

Paducah and Pevely -- MARS - UMP Challenge

Last week-end the team headed South to Paducah, Kentucky for shows on Thurs and Friday.
If you're from Central Illinois and can ever make the trek to PIR -- do so -- it is an awesome place. Thurs was a rain out, Friday night was the World 50.

Feger crushed the competition in his heat and lead most of the race. Unfortunately a flat knocked Jason out with 8 laps to go. He was put in the rear of the field behind the lapped cars and moved up to sixth. Thanks to the fans who emailed and let me know Jason put on the show :)

Sat night was Pevely. The track was FAST and racey. Jason's heat looked like a who's who in racing. Front inside, Moyer, outside Erb (just a couple 100ths of a second faster than Jason) than Jason, Wallace and Frye, plus a few others. WOW!!! Nearly the caliber of a World 100 heat.

Jason was third in his heat, starting 16th in the feature. The front of the feature was Erb, Moyer, Shirley, Korte and others. Jason did an OUTSTANDING job at Pevely moving up to fourth and fought Shirley for fourth.

The night before at Paducah the race was 50 laps and we only needed 40 to win. At Pevely, it was 40 laps, he needed those other 10 laps. I'm darn near 100% he would have had at least third.

All in all it was a great week-end of racing against great competition.

Jacksonville & Macon

A couple of weeks ago Team Feger stayed near home to participate in a couple of Summernational make-up races.

Jacksonville started off rough, really rough. The poor car choked during qualifing there was something in the fuel line. Jason started dead last in his heat and was caught up in traffic for over four laps. The leaders were quite a bit out in front. Jason had the crowd on their feet during the race hitting the highside to capture third. He rec'd a standing ovation from the fans at Jaxs. In the feature, seemed like he had the car to beat, came flying up through the field. With about 15 to go he was in third. The scorers mistakenly put him in fourth and the track locked down. But -- KUDOS to Wests, the Jacksonville promoters who later watched the video and indicated their scorers made a mistake and was setting it right with Jason. Wes won the feature.

Next night was Macon. Jason ended up third in another exciting race at the Herald and Review. It was Erb and Feger battling for the lead. In lapped traffic Weaver got by Jason, but the next lap the yellow came out. The transponders didn't go back to the lap before, so Weaver was placed in front of Jason. Kevin was bad fast, but hey who knows what would have happened if he was put in third. Congrats to Kevin on the win.

Heading SOUTH this week-end.

Team Feger has left Bloomington again! After getting rained out again this week for the NASCAR special in Macon, Illinois the team headed South.

This Friday, the Highside Hustler will be at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky to participate for the first time in a Battle of the Bluegrass special. The $5,000 race is co-sanctioned with the IRS.

The next night the team returns to I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Missouri for a make-up race for the Tri-Track challenge. Earlier in the year Feger lead most of the first leg of the challenge at Paducah. NASCAR star Kenny Schrader won the event with Jason second.

Two weeks ago Feger started in the rear of the feature and moved up to sixth.

GOOD Luck to the guys and Bob Pierce Race Cars!!! Hope there are updates on www.4m.net.

BACK TO BACK FEATURE WINS!!

Jason and Austin Feger and Possio captured BACK TO BACK feature wins.

Wednesday, July 23 at Spoon River Speedway Feger started sixth in the feature for the Midwest Monster Series promoted by Don & Bonnie Hammer. Feger went to the highside and put on a show.

The win was even more exciting as Bob Pierce was on hand to get to help celebrate in victory lane.

The next night at LaSalle Speedway, Feger won his heat and dominated the feature leading the entire race. Pierce race cars were one, two with Steve Sheppard capturing second.

Patrotic Mohawk on July 4

Yeah, the guys surprised us again on July 4 at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach. Overheard someone talking about the tall guy with the patrotic mohawk and knew it could only be one person -- my youngest son, Austin :)

Actually the entire crew had patrotic themed mohawks. I didn't see Devin close-up, but evidently he cut the center of a ball cap for his mohawk to come thru.

Here's a photo from www.dirtondirt.com of Austin's Mohawk for the Fourth of July.

Thanks to Bob and Angie Pierce

Bob and Angie Pierce really came through to help the Feger Bros Racing team stay on the track.
The Pierces have loaned a motor to Jason while his is being repaired.

Jason, Austin and the crew rejoined the Summernationals at Peoria, IL. after missing Lincoln, last Sunday. Jason finished a disappointing 12th. Hopefully things will start turning around. Jacksonville and Macon were both rained out and will be made up in August.

AGAIN -- SHOUT OF THANKS OUT TO BOB AND ANGIE PIERCE!!!

HELL Tour has really been that for the Feger Team

Hmmmm -- let's see.
It is time for a little whining on my part.
The guys luck in the Summernationals has really been bad!!!

1. Lead most of KLMS Summernational -- have not one but two tires go nearly flat on lap 27.
2. Have a trailer flat every night of the first week.
3. Qualify bad at KAMP :(
4. Several tracks were for bottom dwellers.
5. Motor blows. Austin drives all night. Next night put the motor in. Drive back to Paducah.
6. New motor overheats!!
7. Time to come home again and figure out what the H is going on.

Check Out the Feger Crew!!!

Bet you might not recognize the guys during the Summernationals, if you see some punks -- take a double look!! It might be Austin, Devin, Posio or Cowboy.

Austin and Devin were the first, today Posio and Cowboy. Jason has been focused so much on the cars, he hasn't had the time to complete his deal.

Since the races started this season, they've been telling me they are going to cut their hair in mohawks for the SN.

They've done it. Austin's is a major mohawk as he'd been letting his hair grow out. Devin's is barely noticeable. Posio and Cowboy's are decent size. It is hard telling what Jason's will look like as he's been letting his hair grow out too!!!

Hell Tour Begins June 12 at Kentucky Lake Motorspeedway

The UMP Summernationals Hell Tour starts this Thursday at Kentucky Lake. From my perspective it has pretty much started at our house the week before the Dream.

I love the Summernationals, just hate the fact that the tracks are spread out so far!! I had planned on going to KLMS this Thursday, was going to make the trek and take Voche' the dog Austin rescued last year.

Now work is getting in the way!!! Hopefully, I can get out of a meeting early to pick up Smack and head to Brownstown. If not, we'll be at Kamp for sure!!!

Jason's helmet job was completed Saturday in between me running back and forth to the computer to find out what was going on with the Dream. It will drive me nuts being here while they're racing. Thank goodness for 4m and Dirtondirt!!

New Wicked Cemetary Shirts!!!

Have you seen the Feger Team's pit cart? It is wrapped in an wild green cemetary design. That design was the basis for a screen saver that you can download at the media gallery on jasonfeger.com.

We've made some slight modifications and created a radical new tee for Feger -- the black car is coming out of the Feger Cemetary on the front. On the back you'll get the cemetary with it's gates closed and all of the advertisers partnering with Feger Brothers racing.
The new cemetary shirts will be available at the Kamp Motor Speedway Summernationals this Saturday. Stop by Kamp's souvenir stand or TC Collectibles.

The Dream That Wasn't

Feger Racing worked all week before the famed Dream last Friday and Saturday at Eldora Speedway in Rossberg, Ohio. The team had planned on leaving late Thursday evening.

The team was repairing the damage from Macon, plus putting new side panels and graphics on the car. Around mid-night, Jason smelled something burning. While charging the race car battery had became enflamed, causing a major mess.

Jason had to run to Waldens to get a new battery around 1:00 Friday morning. Next he had to build a new battery box, as the old box wouldn't work with the new battery. Life sucks sometimes, but at least the guys weren't charging the battery at the track while asleep in the rig or while in the house. Things could have been really bad as typically a drum of racing fuel could have been right next to the battery.

At the Dream, about 15 cars were left to qualify with Jason and Jeep in the group. The rain started coming and delayed qualfications. Officials decided to requalify the entire field and only give each car one lap. Going out late was a major disadvantage, especially without a second lap.
Feger qualified 66th. He finished 12th in his heat, ending the goal of a Dream start.

Next on tap -- the Hell Tour -- the UMP Summernationals, kicking off at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky!

Disappointing Macon Tri-Track Challenge

Team Feger headed to Macon on Sun, June 1 after a rain out at the second stop of the Tri-Track Challenge in Pevely, Missouri.

Feger finished second in his heat to gain an eighth spot starting spot in the feature. A few laps into the feature Jason was passing a car for fifth spot, when the driver drove over the nose of the car, crunching the fender into the left front tire which caused Jason to spin in the turn as the car would not turn. Jason went to the rear of the 24 car field for causing the yellow.

While moving up to tenth, passing another car, Feger was on the outside and shoved into the fence in number three turn.

BAD LUCK ALL NIGHT LONG!!!

Feger Wins Feature Kamp Motor Speedway and Second Place at Paducah

Feger Racing continues to have a good season going by winning the Kamp Motor Speedway feature event on Saturday, May 24. The next Friday on May 30, team Feger headed South to Paducah Kentucky. Jason started on the front row of the feature outside of Terry English. English jumped to the lead on the high side, but had a flat tire. On a restart, Feger jumped to the lead. Jason had a substantial lead twice in the feature going through lapped traffic. Shirley and Erb were not able to catch him.

While Jason was building his lead, NASCAR star Kenny Schrader was moving up in the field. A yellow tighten the field. Feger retained his lead. Two more yellows would follow, the last with about six laps to go. Schrader and Feger swapped leads twice every lap for five laps.

On the last lap, coming out of two Schrader passed Jason. Feger was not able to get Schrader back. Once in the pits Feger understood why he was having difficulty with the car as the right rear tire was nearly flat.

An excited Jason talked to Kenny after the race. Schrader was equally as excited, telling Jason he loved the fact they were able to slide each other and not touch, plus that was the largest purse Kenny had ever won in his own late model. Both drivers drove a exciting race.
