Thirteen wins!!

WOW -- how about it 13 feature wins in one season. Hopefully after this week-end the guys will have another win. So what about UMP National Points -- Jason finished third!! Also finished third in UMP Northern points. He finished second in Northern All Star points. So the team's had a great season. Still have the opportunity to pick up a few more wins.

NALMS win at East Moline

Last Saturday night, October 11 at East Moline Speedway Feger captured the feature flying on the highside. The Bob Pierce race car handled great, any where on the track.

Jason started the night off with the fastest time in his group. He put on a show trying to get past Ray Guss Jr. in the heat race. Come feature time, Jason started sixth, by lap five was running second behind Brandon Sheppard. A yellow came out on lap five, on the restart Jason had Brandon passed coming out of turn two. He had a substantial lead on the pack the entire race while going in and out of lapped traffic.

Nice thing was Karen from Bell was on hand to see the win, plus the guys met a lot of people from the Quad Cities. Thanks to Karen for getting info about the team on the Bell website!

The track was in good shape, multi-groove. This week-end, Pevely -- the UMP Round-Up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Next week-end Battle of the Mods at Kentucky Lake. If you know anyone that owns a Mod and needs a driver, have them give Jason a call, he'd love to run both classes at Kentucky Lake.

REMINDER -- Race car party coming very soon!!! Grab a friend and come on over.

Bad luck at East Moline

Jason had fast time in his heat.
Finished second in his heat.
Feature event, running second till the leader Erb ran over a lapped car, causing the car to spin infront of Jason. Feger hit the lapped car, buckled the nose of the car and had to go to the rear.
Moved back to seventh.

:( The leader shouldn't have to take out a lap car.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Darn it!! I hate the rain. I hate the cold rain even more.

What really stinks is the guys are out in the rain on the ground working on pulling the toter motor. Both Jason and Austin haven't been feeling to well, so chances are everyone will be sick by this week end.

And now for the GOOD NEWS -- thanks to Shep for finding a motor for the toter!!! YEAH!!

Plus I forgot to tell Joe thanks for towing the toter, Kris, the Advanced Shockman for towing the trailer and car to Eldora, and Tyree for loaning his truck to tow the trailer and car back to Bloomington.

THANK-YOU!! THANK-YOU!!
I can't say it enough, the support of friends, family and fans really keeps Team Feger at the track, plus in the case of last week-end enables them to make it home :) The shirts, hoodies, stickers, anything you purchase goes directly back into the race car some how. Thank you everyone that helps out!

Poor Old Toter and Eldora UMP Fall Nationals

Last Thursday afternoon the guys were waiting for Austin before heading to Eldora for the UMP Fall Nationals. They left early in the evening.

Around 2:00 in the morning, Jason called me -- the 'ole Toter couldn't take it anymore. She gave out at the Pizza place on Highway 127 before North Star. That SUCKS!

Jason called a few people, woke Steve Sheppard up and maybe Walden. Luckily for Team Feger, Kris (spelled with a K) Shockman the Big E. I don't know where the guys slept that night. I'm pretty sure the Posio stayed with the toter waiting for Joe to come in one of Shep's tow trucks.

So the toter was towed to Eldora by an even older tow truck. Jason called me the next day, letting me know to get in contact with Tyree Campbell of Campbell Construction. I needed to drive Tyree's truck to Eldora to haul the trailer and car back to Bloomington, while Joe towed the toter back.

So it went, got Tyree's truck, drove to Eldora watched the races, rode in Tyree's truck back with Jason driving and Joe towing the toter.

So how'd Eldora go? FAST TIME out of 69 or 70 cars. Group qualifing. The heats inverted four, so Jason started fourth. Did I mention that I really do prefer heads-up starts instead of group qualifing -- that's a whole other story. Anyway, in the first three heats there wasn't any passing if you started one, two or three that's pretty much where you ended up. There was some passing in the back, a few faster cars had slower times, so it wasn't too tough to pass some of the slower cars.

Jason finished third in his head, starting him 15th in the feature -- DARN IT!! Jeep and Matt Miller were in the same heat. Other heats had Korte and Faust, both tough competitors. Erb by far had the easiest time in his heat, seemed like he looked at the car leading and they drove into the wall.

In the feature Jeep shot out like a bat out of hell, he was flying to the front. Jason started out slower. By lap 20 Jason was running ninth, Erb was leading, Jeep and Miller were like 5th or 6th. Korte was right in the mix, but broke during a yellow, his car started smoking badly. After the yellow, Jason shot out towards the leaders, on lap 31 he took over 5th and was working on catching Faust for fourth. One of those nights where we wanted a 50 or 60 lap feature. Erb won, Miller, Jeep, Faust and Feger. Good showing for starting deep in the field.

Catching Up

WOW -- hadn't realized I haven't posted since I freed Sam from doggie jail.
Racing catch up time.

LaSalle --- was running second in the feature and had a darn flat :(.
They fixed the flat and for the life of me, I don't know where they finished.

Kamp --- hmmmm, if I remember right, Jason won his heat. In the feature started like third or fourth. Erb won the feature with Jason second.

Sam in Doggie Jail

The kind guy from the McLean County Doggie Jail just called me!!
There was a dog picked up right down the road from me that looks just like Sampson.

YEAH!!!!! But the poor guy will be in jail until Monday.

HELP!!! Sampson is Missing!!!

I came home tonight from work and both sliding doors were open. The girls Dixie and Voche were in the house. Dixie was exhausted. BUT SAM WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN.

We are on the Southwest side of Bloomington, IL. One half mile South of Miller Park on Butchers Lane.

Sam was last seen around 3:00 on Sweet Briar. The doggie jail may have him, as the police told me the had a report of a dog with a similiar description. But of course the doggie jail won't tell me until Monday :(. PLEASE, PLEASE IF YOU HAVE SEEN SAM OR HAVE HIM, PLEASE CALL 309-242-2705 at any time. Thanks! Tracy.

Feger Breaks Kamp Big Race Jinx -- Wins Kamp 50

After years of bad luck during the big shows at Kamp Motor Speedway, Feger Brothers Racing, Bob Pierce Racecars and Advanced Shocks bring home the big check from Kamp!

Around noon on Saturday, I thought the bad luck jinx had hit again. The guys were getting ready to head out and Jason realized the motor was right. YIKES!!!! That meant they needed to pull the motor. Austin was at Robbie's funeral, so Jason, Posio and Devin went to work. Luckily, the "lil motor" was ready to go -- thanks to Mulvain Motorsports!! Austin made it home around 1:00, sill lots of work to do. The guys headed to Kamp around 2:15 - 2:30 our time.

At Kamp the night started off great, fast time out of 32 cars. Due to the invert, Jason started fourth in his heat. A yellow came out with six to go, Jason had fallen to fifth due to three wide racing in front of him. At the checkers it was Matthews with Feger on his tail. That meat Jason would start fifth in the feature. Heckenast Jr was blazing fast in his heat, winning it with a large margin. Same with Billy Faust from Southern Ill. Walden won his heat.

In the feature Matthews took the early lead while Jason was moving forward. Walden was able to get past Matthews who ended up fading back. Faust and Feger had a good battle going for second. On about lap 15, Feger was second, after a yellow he showed Walden the nose of his car a couple time. Once Jason took the lead, Faust followed. Jason took off and the race became for third, fourth and fifth. As Jason had a lead on Faust and Faust on the rest of the pack.

It was GREAT to be back at Kamp Speedway, like I said on 4m, it's like going home. Great track, great people. We were all looking forward to the races at Kamp all week. Thanks to the Kamps and their track crew for a great racing surface!

Also, shout of thanks to: Bob & Angie Pierce of Pierce Race Cars, Advanced Racing Suspension, Campbell Construction, Mulligans, ABS, LaBamba, SVC Construction, Crutcher Mfg, BSB Mfg, Richardson Racing Products, Budda Racecars, BRT Racing Products, Stealth Racing Carbs, Sweet Mfg., Out-Pace, Weld Racing, All Star Performance, Wilwood Disc Brakes, Bell Racing, PRC Performance Rod and Customs, HyperCo, The V-Batter, KDK, Boitnott Lawn care, Bob’s Taxidermy, Triple T, Strong Concrete, Bairds, Hill Lawn care, and Showtime Signs (hope that IKE didn't hit their town too hard in Texas)

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and James Robinson for the loss of Robbie. Austin and James were the greatest of friends in grade school, Robbie, James dad was such a great role model. He was a man who always put his family first. Just a great guy.

Taking on the Big Dogs - WOO Pepsi Nationals

How about it? Team Feger took on the World of Outlaws (WOO) Big Dogs last night at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo for the $10k to win Pepsi Nationals.

Jason finished with a strong 4th place finish. First was Shane Clanton, 2008 World 100 winner, second Chub Frank, previous World 100 winner, and third was Kid Rocket with Jason knocking on his door.

Jason started 10th and within a lap or two was up to fifth. He challenged for the lead off and on for the first half of the race. The Delaware restarts really hurted as he'd end up being on the low side of the track when the highside was the place to be last night. Once Clanton pulled out front, he was the clear leader, but before that the action was three and four wide the whole track! The last half of the race Jason battled for third with Kid Rocket, he had to hold off a strong running Shannon Babb and Dennis Erb.

The feature event at I-55 was outstanding to watch. Thanks so much to the track for running the late models first.

Feger won the $500 bonus for the top placing car not to win a WOO race.

Feger Outduals English

Photo above was snapped by Kohls Racing Photos at Paducah International Raceway. Kohls always does a great job on his photos! The photo was on www.dirtondirt.com.

The rain has caused the Kamp 50 to be cancelled and rescheduled for next week, Sept 20. Tonight, do a dance to keep the rain away from Pevely. Grandma and I will be headed South for the World of Outlaws show at Pevely. All the WOO big dogs should be in attendance. Sunday night, will be the WOO show at LaSalle. GO FEGER!!!

Feger takes the $5k Wayne Coakley Memorial at Paducah International Speedway!

WOO HOO!!! The bad luck at PIR finally skipped the Feger team. Jason got past Terry English and Brad Neat on the last lap to get the big check!! Congrats to everyone!! Spoke to Jason, he said while in victory lane his right rear tire was off the wheel.

Thanks so much to www.racingcorner.com for posting a play by play. If you can ever make it to Paducah, ya gotta do it. That place has awesome racing!!

Here's an official short news release:
Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL took home the $5,000 at Paducah International Speedway's Wayne Coakley Memorial on the last lap of the feature event. Feger started the night off winning his heat. Other heats were won by Kevin Claycomb, Brad Neat, and Dennis Erb. The win at PIR, gave Feger, currently third in UMP National points his 11th feature win of the season. Following Feger at the finish line was Terry English, Brian Shirley of Chatham, IL and NASCAR star Ken Schrader who won a hard fought battle over Feger earlier this year at the PIR Tri-Track Challenge.

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS,

To everyone who purchased Feger merchandise at the World!!

Feger and Pierce Car Make the 2008 World 100!

Jason Feger started the World week-end drawing a late qualifing spot for the first round at Eldora Speedway, drawing number 185. Feger was one of the last cars out but laid down a good lap. The track had faded quickly after the first group of cars went out. Feger's second time was slightly better with a 15.130, making him 51st out of 175 cars.

Friday night at the World, every team's major goal is to lay down a FAST qualifing time, hopefully in the first 24 cars. The fast qualifier draws for a number for the heat invert, this year, Earl Pearson Jr drew a 6! That meant six cars invert for each heat.

A team's next goal is to hopefully get in the first two rows of your heat or get a heat with a few less Eldora winners in it. No such luck for the Feger team. After Holly and I left the speedway Friday night, I checked dirtondirt.com to see if the qualifing heats were up.

YIKES!!! Jason's starting point was heat 3, fifth row inside. OMG!!! The heat was LOADED!! According to dirtondirt, there were 25 major Eldora wins in this heat. Lineup: Kevin Weaver, Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Dan Schlieper, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Scott Bloomquist, Steve Casebolt, John Blankenship, Jason Feger, Donnie Moran, John Mason, Andrew Reaume, Rusty Seaver, Johnny Wheeler, Freddy Smith, Jerry Rice, Ryan Vanderveen, Jay Johnson, Rone Perrine Jr, Chris Madden.

The heat started with the middle of the pack bunching up, giving the cars up front a bigger lead. Within a few laps, Jason was on fire and getting through traffic, he passed the sixth place car and was getting ready to pass fourth and fifth. Right there with Babb and Bloomer. A yellow came out, putting Jason back to seventh. Another yellow came out, Bloomer jumped the start, he was moved back two positions. Jason repassed the sixth place car and nearly had overcome Bloomquist. Sixth place finish.

The first B main. Feger started seventh, jumped early to third but faltered, fell back to sixth. Battled the fifth place car and had to get pass Marlar for fourth to make the World. They battled for a few laps and than Jason threaded a needle, getting pass Marler and a lapped car. Feger was fourth and made the World!!

Jason would start 27th, with good friend Jordan Bland making it through the second semi to start 28th. YEAH!!!! Jason survived the ENTIRE World and finished 18th, two laps down.

Feger Pierce Car World 100 Layouts

Here's the new wrap for the World 100. We don't have it in our anxious hands yet, but it should arrive on Wednesday from Texas. John from Showtime Signs, who designs and outputs the wraps for Pierces Kidz Mods helped us out by outputting the design. Austin came up with the idea of moving the dice to the front of the car. The skulls are now on the numbers.

If you make it to the World 100, please stop by and check it out. John told me it looks AWESOME!! If you need a Wrap -- please contact Showtime Signs or visit their website www.showtimesigns.net. Be sure to tell John that Feger told you to give him a call!
